CHICAGO, IL, November 20, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In today's world of emails, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and other social media platforms we have seen the steady decline of the postal services across the developed world. "When I was growing up receiving a hand addressed letter was common and junk mail wasn't," said Antoine Nohra speaking at a recent Credico USA global country leader's dinner. " We all knew our mailman and he knew us, he was the bearer of good news and sometimes bad news. The mailman who delivered parcels at Christmas and birthdays and was ever reliable."
Now perhaps salvation is at hands and our mailman may yet be saved from the clutches of Dr Digital because Australia has released the world's first video stamp. This news created great excitement at Credico USA's corporate headquarters as the staff could see the enormous potential. Quite simply the stamp allows people to send a 15 second video with their letters and parcels.
This new innovative service allows senders to scan a coded stamp on their mailbag and record a message on their smartphone via an app. They then stick the stamp to their parcel or letter.
The recipients can view the message by scanning the stamp on their smartphone or tablet or by entering a code on the Australian Post website for up to 90 days after it has been received.
Over the years we have seen our postal service forced change to fall into line and attempt to compete with the march of the digital age. However the USA remains a vast country where huge parts are still catching up themselves with the digital world. A video greeting from someone you love and cherish through a stamp is innovative and inexpensive but most importantly it is personal and nostalgic.
"I can see the benefits for everyone with this simple and easy medium," said Antoine, Credico USA's chairman. "It brings the emotion of receiving a letter from a loved one back to the people."
The success of Credico USA, one of America's fastest growing outsource sales companies has been unique in that it has combined the digital world with the ever important face to face interaction. "In our business the people are more important than the computer," remarked the Credico chairman Antoine Nohra. "Like the US Postal service we always deliver."
