Ms. Perry started Heroes on Ice to raise awareness of the top ice skating talent in the UK
LONDON, December 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Melanie Perry, Chairman of Heroes on Ice, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Ms. Perry has six years of professional experience, with two years as the chairman of Heroes on Ice. On a daily basis, she is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the organization, which promotes young ice skaters in the U.K. in ice skating shows. In addition, she ensures that the proceeds of these events go toward the funding of different charitable organizations. Ms. Perry started Heroes on Ice to raise awareness of the top ice skating talent in the UK, whilst raising funds for charitable causes through the platform of ice shows. The organization successfully completed its first show this past September in aid of Walking with the Wounded.
Ms. Perry previously served as the chairman of Number 42, a private members club for the UK's elite executive and personal assistants, for two years; she also chaired the club's charity committee. A former executive assistant, she decided to utilize her talents and the skills that she learned in that role to develop herself further in leadership roles.
Looking back, Ms. Perry attributes her success to her networking skills, as well as her relationship-building and leadership abilities. She became involved in her profession because she worked in an executive assistant capacity for most of her career. An ice skating enthusiast, she started her work in the nonprofit sector six years ago, and it has been natural progression of opportunities for her ever since.
Ms. Perry received a Lucie Clayton Diploma in Typing, which ranks her at 60 words per minute, or 90 words per minute in shorthand. She is also fully qualified in the use of word processors. Ms. Perry is a member of the Institute of Administrative Professionals and the Association of Personal Assistants. In years to come, Ms. Perry plans to make Heroes on Ice a nationally and internationally known charity.
Heroes on Ice is a nonprofit charitable organization that produces ice skating shows to raise funds for charitable organizations.
