ATLANTA, GA, December 16, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Many compare his sound to Maxwell, Eric Benet, or Al Green, but soulful singer LV Lavor says he expects people to become as much a fan of his lyrics as his sound.
A self-proclaimed "hopeless romantic," LV says his first single, Just for Tonite, was really "an open door into how I like to do things." He writes:
'Let's disappear for a moment,
not out of town,
not anywhere specific,
but let's disappear into a place that only we exist,
me and you.'
As a child growing up in Leesville, Louisiana, LV's mother made him and his older brother sing and dance to the Isley Brothers or Earth Wind and Fire for her friends. He naturally went on to perform in talent shows as he got older, and he even formed a singing group called Xcel with four close friends. After high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force, where he found every chance he could to perform for his fellow troops.
Lavor says, "I really just want to make and write timeless music. I want people to listen to my lyrics and be taken back to times in their lives when they felt that way. I want to sing about the feelings that we sometimes runaway from expressing."
Success for Lavor, which obviously would include winning a Grammy one day soon, means making his family proud and knowing how many people he could "bless" as his musical platform increases. Lavor, who continuously writes, sings, and yes, even engineers, says he can always find the time for a good sci-fi movie. He is also into personal development, and says, "I Google everything, so if you say it, make sure it's true."
He wants to make sure everything is true, including people's emotion. Lavor will be releasing his second song, True Emotions, a crowd favorite and the title track to his forthcoming album (EP), in February 2014. Meanwhile, look out for the video for Just For Tonite later this month. Visit Truebusinessinc.com and LVLavor.com to get a schedule of upcoming performances and projects.
Just for Tonite is available on all major online music stores, including iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby.
