Kelly Charles' Experience and Training Sets Her Apart from Her Peers

With almost three decades of practiced experience in her field, Ms. Charles is uniquely positioned to oversee a wide range of responsibilities on behalf of the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. Over the course of the past seven years, in her capacity as an elementary school principal, she assists the staff in providing the best programs for students. A trained coach and mentor, she also supervises teacher performance, supports teachers and support staff, and remains current in existing research on safety and health, policies and procedures, building safety and budgets.

Ms. Charles shines in her field due to her prior industry experiences and educational background, which includes a master of education in special education from Charles Sturt University. She also earned a Bachelor of Education from Brock University in 1985, and a Bachelor of Arts in history from McMaster University in 1978. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding for excellence in educational administration. Looking ahead, she intends to transfer her skills into the consulting or ministry industries.
