    WINNIPEG, CANADA, December 19, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Debbra D. Holt, Commercial Real Estate Appraiser and Consultant for Hoffer Wilkinson & Associates Limited, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in real estate.

Ms. Holt worked full-time for the provincial and city assessment departments in Canada while attending school part-time. When she graduated from the University of British Columbia with a certificate in real property assessment and a diploma in urban land economics, she was also caring for her three young daughters. Skilled in multitasking, Ms. Holt is an incredibly ambitious and driven professional. She has since gone on to complete an AACI designation through the Appraisal Institute of Canada.

Prior to joining Hoffer Wilkinson & Associates, Ms. Holt worked for the City of Winnipeg Property Assessment Department. There, she supervised a staff of 16 assessment officers and was directly responsible for the valuation of various complex properties in the downtown area, including the MTS Centre. In her role, Ms. Holt also participated in high-level negotiation and provided consultation to other civic departments. She has experience in the valuation of commercial, multi-family, industrial, institutional, hospitality and special-purpose properties for the City of Winnipeg.

In her current position as a commercial real estate appraiser and consultant for Hoffer Wilkinson & Associates Ltd, Ms. Holt handles appraisal reporting for all types of investment and owner occupied properties. Throughout her illustrious career, she has become an expert in the appraisal of income producing properties including the valuation of historically designated buildings. She consults on a wide variety of real property issues including lease renewal, property assessment and taxation and expropriation matters. Ms. Holt is also the co-author of a conference paper on mass appraisal and multiple regression analysis for income properties which was published for the International Property Tax Institute Symposium, Vancouver Canada. February 2006.

Ms. Holt is a member of the Canadian Real Estate Association, the Winnipeg Real Estate Association, the Association of Assessing Officers of Manitoba, the Appraisal Institute of Canada, the Manitoba Sailing Association and the Canadian Yachting Association. She has also served on the Board of Directors for AIC Manitoba Provincial Council and the Gimli Yacht Club.
