David K. Sweeting Demonstrates Prowess for High Voltage Electrical Engineering

    ST. IVES, NEW SOUTH WALES, AUSTRALIA, January 17, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sweeting Consulting Director David K. Sweeting has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in electrical engineering.

Dr. David Sweeting has been a tree farmer since 1983, and currently owns and manages a pinus radiata plantation, along with a regrowth eucalypt forest for wood production. He also owns and manages a remote photovoltaic array, wind generator, and inverter power supply. However, the majority of his focus is placed on Sweeting Consulting Pty Ltd.

Drawing on more than four decades of experience in the profession, Sweeting is a successful high voltage electrical engineer and the director of his own engineering consultancy. He consults for all electrical cases, handling matters pertaining to electrical power distribution and electrical fault calculations. He is also responsible for overseeing the lightning performance of installations and equipment, and interfacing between supply authorities and major customers.

In the past, Sweeting has worked for Bassett Consulting Engineers, Sydney County Council, the Association of Short Circuit Testing Authorities U.K., and Brown Boveri and Co. He is the author of three patents that relate to the measurement of electrical quantities. He has published 74 articles on circuit breakers, overvoltages, cable fault location, motor failures, computer-aided design, quality of supply, electric arc hazards, and shortage of electrical power engineers. A graduate of The University of Sydney, Sweeting holds a Ph.D., Bachelor of Engineering, and Bachelor of Science.

He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding and also maintains affiliation with the Electrical Energy Society of Australia, Consult Australia, Australian Forest Growers, the IEEE, CIGRE, Standards Australia, and the International Electrotechnical Commission. Further, Sweeting is an honorary fellow of The Institution of Engineers Australia.
