PRINCETON, NEW JERSEY, January 21, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edward M. Greene, Senior Director of Early Learning at EM GREENE Associates International, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nonprofits.
Dr. Greene has 40 years of experience in the industry, developing an expertise in child development, early learning and children's digital media environments. His focus areas are consulting, advising, and providing professional development services to practitioners in the educational and instructional areas associated with early childhood development and education.
He has served as a senior adviser to Cito USA and its Piramide Approach to Early Learning, facilitating communication, capacity building, and strategic approaches to program implementation. His work includes providing professional development and serving as an instructional leadership coach for Teachscape, an online and face-to-face company providing staff and professional development through a state-of-the-art platform. For three years. Dr. Greene was the director of international outreach and for Sesame Workshop. He is currently a senior director of educational outreach for a U.S. Department of Education Ready to Learn transmedia grant, developing educational and instructional materials for young children ages 3, 4, and 5. In five years, Mr. Greene aims to foster the positive development of young children by supporting the knowledge, skills and understandings of practitioners and program leaders.
Dr. Greene attributes his success to his hard work and passion for early education and professional learning. He became involved in his profession because over the course of his career, he has worked directly with infants, toddlers, preschool children, adolescents and families, as well as in a variety of roles and capacities in the philanthropic, private, public sectors and higher education.
A graduate of Indiana State University, Dr. Greene received a Ph.D. in elementary and early childhood education. He also holds a Master of Arts in child and human development from the Pacific Oaks College and a Bachelor of Music from DePauw University.
Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Dr. Greene is a former board member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the High Scope Educational Research Foundation. He is a supporter of the Southern Poverty Law Center, the National Black Child Development Institute, and the Coalition for Quality Children's Media—Kids First.
