Holiday Season Sales Jump 80 Percent at King Ice

    LOS ANGELES, CA, January 29, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- King Ice today reported an increase in holiday season sales compared to the same period last year. While other retailers have given disappointing forecasts for holiday-season sales due to a shortened 2013 holiday shopping season and traffic slumps, King Ice recorded its best year ever.

For the November-December holiday season, King Ice reported an 80% increase in sales compared to 2012. The increase in sales can be attributed to the retailer's multichannel approach. In July of 2013 King Ice joined Karmaloop's Kazbah marketplace. Kazbah is Karmaloop's independent marketplace for up-and-coming brands. Kazbah accounted for 44% of the company's holiday season sales.

King Ice sold thousands of during the shopping season. The number of products ordered on the jeweler's website during the holiday season increased by 49%. King Ice attributes the increase in products ordered to the new collections added in 2013. King Ice introduced new collections of curb chains, mini pendants, watches, and medusa jewelry.
