ATLANTA, GA, February 14, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Samson Trailways was pleased to provide the shuttle buses for the 2014 Hot Chocolate 15/5K race on January 26th. This was the second year in a row that the Atlanta charter bus company has provided shuttles for the race, which benefits the Atlanta chapter of Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The Hot Chocolate 15/5K is a wildly popular annual charity race that takes place in downtown Atlanta, and it even attracts runners from out of the state. The race saw more than 30,000 racers, supporters and volunteers. These huge numbers meant that it was essential for the race coordinators to have regular shuttle buses from Atlanta bus rental company Samson Trailways to ensure that all participants were able to get to and from the race with ease.
Race coordinators created The Hot Chocolate 15/5K to raise funds and awareness for the Atlanta branch of Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House program provides temporary and long-term housing to families who must travel to receive specialized treatment for a hospitalized child. The recovering children benefit greatly from having their family nearby to support them, and the families are grateful to be able to be there for their child thanks to Ronald McDonald House.
"We felt honored to have been chosen to provide the shuttle buses for this event," says Tom Sambdman, Vice President of Samson Trailways. "The Hot Chocolate 15/5K race benefits a wonderful cause, and we were happy to be able to contribute to that cause."
