Midland Carriers Introduces Solution To Layflat Frac Hose Deployment

    EDMOND, OK, February 13, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Until now, a large crew was required to retrieve and lay polyurethane layflat hose. Midland Carriers, an equipment manufacturing company located just north of Oklahoma City, has designed a product that turns this task into a much simpler one.

The LF 660 Lay Flat Retrieval System was custom designed by Midland Carriers and is unlike anything on the market at this time. "The idea for the new product was brought to our attention over 18 months ago by existing customers. They were dissatisfied with the safety and efficiency shortcomings of the products that were currently available," says Mike Mays, owner of Midland Carriers. The LF 660 will retrieve, deploy, and store 660 feet of 8 or 10-inch layflat hose on each reel. A machine capable of 12-inch hose is under development and is expected to be in production by mid-March. The hydraulic powered arms are capable of lifting and controlling each reel, while automatic safety latches engage to ensure safe operation over most terrain. "The LF 660 turns an adequately rated skid loader into a superior layflat hose handling machine," says Mays.
