Kevin S. Combs Support Patients in their Goals to Achieve Optimal Health and Manage their Diabetes

    ABINGDON, VA, February 13, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Abingdon Family Healthcare's Dr. Kevin S. Combs is devoted to caring for his patients and ensuring that each individual he treats is given adequate personalized attention so they always stay in good health. He sees about 30 patients each day, and when not called to the Abingdon Family Healthcare practice, is kept busy at other health care facilities.

In fact, he begins each day at the Russell County Medical Center, where he has held the following roles: hospital chair of medicine, vice chief of staff, and director of respiratory therapy. Dr. Combs also works at Maple Grove Nursing Home each Thursday, and teaches clinical geriatrics at Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Combs completed a residency at Norton Community Hospital in 2008, after earning a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2004. Today, he specializes in the treatment of diabetes, and one of his goals is to educate his community further regarding the complications caused by the disease.

He is an active member of the American Medical Association, American College of Osteopathic Internists, and American Osteopathic Association.
