Mr. Mason has 20 years of experience in the field of science, and has spent the last decade with Golder Associates, where he is now a principal scientist. At Golder Associates, an environmental and geotechnical consultancy, he serves as an expert in the areas of biodiversity and ecosystem services impact assessment and management.

Natural sciences captured his imagination since he was a child, which ultimately led him to obtain a Master of Science in Ecology from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Since that time, he has been constantly expanding his knowledge, expertise and experience in the natural sciences. In five years, Mr. Mason hopes to be one of the world's leading experts in biodiversity and ecosystem services impact assessment and management.

He was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, and also maintains affiliations with The International Society for Ecological Economics, International Association of Impact Assessment, The Ecosystems Services Partnership, and the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand.
