Merge is not perfect, but it is clear that they are determined to be the best at what they do.
OREM, UT, February 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Despite recent challenges and leadership changes, Merge, according to providers, is performing stronger than ever before. This according to the newly released KLAS report Weathering Change: Merge Healthcare Imaging Suite 2014.
KLAS spoke with 147 Merge customers to gather insight on how Merge is performing. In addition, 31 of Merge's key customers were interviewed. Of those, the majority reported that they planned to add new Merge modules and solutions within the next two years, a statistic rarely heard in the current healthcare IT industry.
"Providers report that Merge is striving to be a partner," said Monique Rasband, report author. "And that is what providers are looking for. Merge has been able to acquire solutions, develop them and create an enterprise imaging offering with strong integration. Merge is not perfect, but it is clear that they are determined to be the best at what they do."
Merge is not just a partner for providers. With the announced partnership with Cerner, Merge is working to fill the integration and functionality gap between the CVIS and the EMR. Cerner customers are optimistic about this new partnership since CVIS products have historically been challenging to integrate. Many Epic sites have reported recent improved integration with Merge as well. For more information about this study, check out the full report, Weathering Change: Merge Healthcare Imaging Suite 2014.
