The 2014 class of SFHM designees represents hospital medicine's most experienced leaders - those who earn the SFHM designations have demonstrated a commitment to hospital medicine, system change, and quality improvement principles. To be designated as a Senior Fellow in Hospital Medicine, an applicant must:
- Serve as a hospitalist for at least five years,
- Be a member of SHM for at least five years, and
- Demonstrate their dedication to quality and process improvement and commitment to organizational teamwork, leadership and lifelong learning.
