"Providers looking to save money but not sacrifice performance are turning to these second-tier CTs and have been overwhelmingly satisfied with their decision."
OREM, UT, March 25, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Providers are increasingly turning to second-tier CT solutions to find the optimal balance of price and performance. This according to the latest KLAS report, CT 2014: Can You Do More with Less?
Three out of the four vendors in the study scored in the 90s (out of 100), indicating that providers' needs are primarily being met, if not exceeded. KLAS spoke to over 100 providers from 87 organizations to find out how different second-tier CT vendors are performing and to discover who providers are choosing in new deals. In regard to purchasing, many providers did not go with their first choice, opting for a lower-priced solution instead.
"We are hearing from providers that when it comes to CT, they don't always need the high-end scanners with all the bells and whistles," said Brady Heiner, report author. "Providers looking to save money but not sacrifice performance are turning to these second-tier CTs and have been overwhelmingly satisfied with their decision."
The report looks at the performance of second-tier CT vendors including GE Healthcare, Philips, Siemens and Toshiba.
