Backed by a diploma in legal practice and a degree in law, Ms. Bayley served as a general counsel and business services director responsible for a range of legal and general support services for Shanks Waste Management Limited, a FTSE250 and waste management and energy company. She has now set up her own business offering support to companies to help develop their legal commercial and risk strategies particularly where companies do not have the benefit of an in-house team.
She has particular specialist knowledge in PFI and the U.K. waste and energy industries, and has spent years in the building products and concrete industries. Furthermore, Ms. Bayley has an excellent track record in establishing, developing and managing in-house legal departments, as well as in closing major PFI waste deals by working with external legal advisers to deliver the best deal for shareholders.
Ms. Bayley progressed from commercial management to a director role in an impressive five years. In her role, at Shanks she managed the development of integration of the legal team into business, and provided general counsel support and direction for various issues, including commercial, commercial property, corporate law, litigation, disputes, intellectual property and competition. In addition, she has extensive experience of managing selected portfolios, handling legal and compliance issues in environment and prospect areas, and overseeing complex legal and commercial contract negotiations.
Ms. Bayley possesses nearly 20 years of experience in her field and was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding. Looking ahead, she plans to continue building and expanding her knowledge to achieve further success both for herself and for the companies she is supporting.
