ALEXANDRIA, VA, April 27, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The alert notification solution DeskAlerts has once again underlined the importance of a diverse communications strategy following a survey which studied employee response to email messages. The results underlined just how few email messages were read, understood and acted on.
The survey, which was based on a Sampleemails.org report, found that almost 70% of employees delete emails that don't display correctly. Just under a quarter (21%) admitted that they report email as spam even if they know it is not while 69% of recipients report email as spam based on the subject line alone. Of those questioned, 40% of email users also admitted to deleting emails by mistake, suggesting that many businesses need to diversify and add additional channels to their communications strategies in order to ensure messages are delivered and displayed to the intended user.
Anton Vdovin, Project Manager at DeskAlerts, said, "We have long since known the importance of effective and timely communications in business. This survey further underlines that hopes should not rest solely on email due to the volume of messages that are not opened, not delivered, are reported as spam or just deleted without being read. The results demonstrate just how crucial additional channels of communication are and notifications that can be tracked to the source, can't be ignored and can't be accidently deleted or classed as spam."
As a web-based solution, DeskAlerts can be used to send communications directly to the user desktop. This removes the danger of messages not being read or delivered by ensuring that alerts are prominently displayed. The system can be used to send a range of content types, including text, RSS feed, video and images. A versatile tool, it can be used across technologically and geographically diverse networks and most significantly, message delivery confirmed via an accessible and real time reporting system.
About DeskAlerts: DeskAlerts is the only alert solution that works in technologically and geographically diverse networks.
