PJ Patel and Ed Hamilton to Present Webcast on Using the Distributor Method to Value Customer Relationships

Historically, customer relationships were largely valued using the multi-period excess earnings method (MPEEEM) which, in certain instances, resulted in value conclusions that were counterintuitive. To help address these situations, the distributor method was developed as an alternative approach that enables appraisers to use market based inputs to value certain types of customer relationships. Valuation specialists PJ Patel and Ed Hamilton explore the strengths and weaknesses of customer relationship valuation methodologies and how the distributor method can be used to value certain types of customer relationships.
