New KITS V4.15 Fiber Cable Reporting Software for Service Provider and LAN Cable Systems

    MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, May 06, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kingfisher International has released an upgraded version of KITS fiber optic reporting software. Primarily for use with Kingfisher's range of fiber optic test equipment, this flexible software is commonly used on fiber optic cable installations for data capture, acceptance and certification reporting of fiber optic loss and return loss.

It is widely accepted that half the cost of fiber optic testing is data manipulation and pass/ fail reporting. This software contributes to both reducing this expense, and improving confidence in the results.

For convenience, the software is based around Microsoft Excel, and can be installed on a wide variety of Windows, Microsoft Office and 33 Language computing environments.

Test data is protected from tampering with the new "secure mode", which extends security to protected imported and exported data files.

The user can work in a variety of ways. The software provides the widely used "data dump" method the memory of a connected instrument. However it also lets the user directly input live data into a pass/ fail report, or import a file data file which has been dumped from an instrument directly onto a USB key, and perhaps transmitted from a mobile phone.

The software supports both outside plant (Service Provider) and LAN style of installations, by supporting all manner of standards based pass / fail formulae, or the user can create their own criteria.

The software has some other useful features such as a live data display, which is very useful for educational use, data logging for laboratory use, and an unformatted data dump sheet. The report format is readily modifiable to meet many needs.
Secure Data files can be exported and re-imported, and data merged.
