Construction Under Way at Carmel Senior Living

    CARMEL, IN, May 08, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Construction is under way on Carmel's newest senior living community, Carmel Senior Living at 13390 Illinois Street, a project of Spectrum Retirement Communities, a Denver-based company ranked in the top five senior living companies for excellence by its peers. Known for delivering luxurious senior living at an affordable price, Spectrum's newest property will offer flexible and affordable month-to-month leasing programs with absolutely no up-front costs or down payments.

Catamount Constructors is managing the project, designed by architectural firm Gastinger Walker Harden + BeeTriplett Buck.

Located on the southwest corner of 136th and Illinois streets, Carmel Senior Living is set to open in May 2015 with a wide range of lifestyle options, including Independent Living, Assisted Living, Transitional Memory Care and Memory Care. The property will feature top-flight amenities, dining and Spectrum's signature wellness programs. Residences will range from studio apartments to two-bedroom, two-bath, 1,200-square-foot apartment homes.

Carmel is Spectrum's second community in Indiana. All residences within the 135,000-square-foot community have been planned to maximize health, independence, security and peace of mind, while also compassionately supporting those who need more assistance. Carmel will host on-site personal care services with licensed professionals who offer occupational and speech therapies, monthly health screenings and physical rehabilitation. In addition, Carmel's Transitional Memory Care program, unique to Spectrum communities, supports seniors with mild cognitive impairment, while still offering a high level of independence.

Resident move-in at Carmel is scheduled for June 2015. Spectrum will begin taking reservations for its month-to-month rental program beginning this month through its website, www.carmelseniorliving.com.

Once open, the community will employ 80 full and part time team members from the area.
