Electric Engine 1 Planning to Unveil Prototype Electric Car Engine

    MONROE, WI, May 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Electric Engine 1 is preparing to unveil its prototype, a magnetic engine with similarities to the internal combustion engine (ICE) but without the use of gasoline. The company has converted a 4-cylinder gas engine to make it gasoline free; the engine runs solely on electricity, primarily sourced by battery power and regeneration and offers the farthest travel distance on a single charge of any electric engine currently in existence.

"We are currently working on finding an electronic ignition that would meet the needs of the engine and ensure it runs with maximum efficiency," says Kevin Bahe of Research and Development. "Our design uses, almost entirely, mass-produced parts that are already in the engine. It still includes the use of motor oil in the crankshaft, anti-freeze coolant and power-steering fluid but is conducive to providing no combustion and harmless exhaust fumes.

Electric Engine1's design is still in the early stages of development but the company plans to demonstrate the prototype nationwide through both auto and energy shows. The concept is that this engine will eventually replace the ICE; after considering hundreds of different engine designs, the developers found a 4-cylinder engine that is markedly superior to anything else for this purpose.

"If this can be done with a 4-cylinder, who's to say that 6-, 8-, 10- or 12-cylinder engines cannot be converted also?" asks Bahe. "Our design could be the engine of the future, to be utilized not only in cars and trucks but in boats, tractors and generators."

Once the prototype is launched, the company will be releasing further statistics regarding horsepower and travel distance. The current timeframe allows for completion in the fall of 2014. Electric Engine 1 is looking for a company or investor to help bring the engine to market.
