The 800-km hike along the Camino may be your religious or spiritual quest, but it is certainly a challenge that is full of surprises and opportunities to learn about yourself.
CALGARY, AB, May 23, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Each Step is the Journey: The Call of the Camino explores the Camino de Santiago through the experiences of Patricia Klinck as she walks the eight-hundred-kilometre Camino Frances from St. Jean-Pied-de-Port, France, to Santiago, Spain.
What can this age-old pilgrimage--declared the first European Cultural Route and a UNESCO World Heritage Site--offer us in the twenty-first century? Would such a trip be for you? In the beginning Patricia Klinck was unsure. The Camino is often a religious or spiritual quest. It presents a physical challenge, insights into history, along with sensory and social experiences. Along the way, Patricia also discovered that heightened emotions are part of the experience and in the end, she finds a new way of understanding her world that changes her forever.
Patricia travelled as a single woman for 30 days along the Camino with her friends, a couple, whose pace was faster than hers. They started together at the beginning of the day, walked at their own pace and met up at the end of the day.
Patricia Klinck's video blog provides information about various aspects of the journey from what to pack in your backpack to liminal spaces and leylines and much more. http://eachstepisthejourney.com
