With more than two and a half decades of practiced experience in his field, Mr. Arora holds a unique set of qualifications that allow him to excel in his role with ICONASIA, an international trade and development company. For more than a decade, in his role as president, he has overseen business development and consulting, facilitated business opportunities between Japan, China, India and Germany, and managed the sales and sourcing of the business. Throughout the course of his entire career, he has gained experience in senior management with GE, Medtronic and The Stanley Works.
Aside from his experiences in management, Mr. Arora has authored "A Yen for Yen: Cashing Big on Dreams," which contains distilled wisdom of 40 years of learning leadership in Asia. The Tamil version of the book, "Ninaiththen Jeyiththen" ("I Thought and I Won"), was launched in January 2008. After marrying his fiancee in a televised Japanese-style ceremony, he mastered the Japanese language and began working for General Electric. He moved up in the ranks in increasing levels of responsibility, eventually sitting on the board of GE's global medical equipment production joint venture. This was a complete surprise to the community at large, especially after Mr. Arora dropped out of college at the age of 21.
A shining example of excellence in his field, Mr. Arora was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding in recognition of his amazing accomplishments.
