Jenny Mulks Wieneke Achieves Success in Nonprofit Work

It was Ms. Wieneke's own battle with cancer that inspired her to help others and create the Along Comes Hope Corporation, a nonprofit organization that provides financial, emotional and educational assistance to the families of children with cancer. Ms. Wieneke had to travel during her treatment, and she experienced how expensive the process could be but necessary in order to survive. The Along Came Hope Corporation assists with travel costs associated with treatment and other needs faced by children and their families. As chief executive officer, Ms. Wieneke has developed an expertise in operational management. She is in charge of assessing requests, following through with funds, planning assistance, fundraising and writing grants. She also manages the events, staff and finances of the organization. Ms. Wieneke has put all of her hard work and faith into this organization. She personally meets with parents and community groups and works to coordinate community outreach programs.

Prior to starting the Along Came Hope Corporation, Ms. Wieneke received a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University. She was also recognized with various sales & results related honors throughout her previous 15 year career in pharmaceutical management. Looking forward, Ms. Wieneke aims to expand the organization to serve families on a national level and create new funding opportunities.
