CEREC repairs teeth in approximately one hour by using ceramic tooth-colored restorations. An optical impression photographs the damaged tooth - which eliminates the need for uncomfortable impression molds. The image is then sent to a computer, where 3D Computer Aided Design software creates the restoration while the patient waits. Next, the restoration is bonded to the remaining healthy tooth tissue.
