Our video solution gives people who want to adopt a new animal the opportunity to make a connection and see that animal's personality before they visit the shelter or rescue organization.
LOS ANGELES, CA, July 07, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- I am Adoptable (http://www.iamadoptable.com), a website and app currently being developed, is launching a funding campaign on the popular crowdfunding platform Indigogo. The goal of I am Adoptable is to provide a more powerful and transparent approach to finding a new pet using advanced video technology.
"Apart from being a great way to generate some much needed funding for I am Adoptable, our crowdfunding campaign helps us to connect with others who feel passionately about the need to get more pets adopted into loving homes," says co-founder Mario Alcaraz. "Our video solution gives people who want to adopt a new animal the opportunity to make a connection and see that animal's personality before they visit the shelter or rescue organization."
Within the next 60 days, I am Adoptable will be generating buzz and media attention through social outreach, media events, digital marketing and more. The goal is to raise $25,000 through the crowdfunding campaign in order to continue development of its web video sharing platform.
Each year in the United States, millions of animals are euthanized in shelters across the country because they are not able to be adopted. While spay/neuter programs are an important part of helping to limit the number of animals that arrive in shelters, I am Adoptable focuses its efforts on helping to place more animals by showing their personalities and unique qualities to potential adopters online. Video helps to showcase these animals more than a single photograph or written description ever could.
"I am Adoptable will provide a way to search for pets both locally and across the country, opening up each animal to the possibility of reaching more loving homes," explains co-founder Kate Hebert. "It will be extremely simple to record and upload video of adoptable animals, and promote those animals to people who want to bring them into their lives."

I am Adoptable is a website and mobile app being developed by two animal lovers who both see the need for a more powerful and transparent approach to finding a new pet. Even with advanced online technology, it still can be a very difficult process to find the right pet for your lifestyle and household, and picture-based animal adoption websites are very limited in allowing a person to really learn and bond with an animal. I am Adoptable revolutionizes the search through an easy to use video platform.
