Michelle Spiro Honored for Success in Pharmaceuticals

    July 24, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michelle Spiro, Co-owner and Pharmacist of Carricks Pharmacy, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in her profession.

Mrs. Spiro has 36 years of experience in the field, and has owned Carricks Pharmacy since 1982, with Vivien Wiener becoming her partner in September 1997 (both are Justices of the Peace as well). Mrs. Spiro is well versed in product range, which she uses in her duty of overseeing daily business operations. In the future, she intends to continue on the same career path.

Successful because of her hard work and her love of what she does, she became involved in her profession because of her aptitude in science and mathematics; she earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy from The University of Sydney. She also wanted a career that she could plan a family around.

Mrs. Spiro also maintains several professional affiliations. She is a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, which is the peak professional pharmacy organisation representing Australian pharmacists. For the past three years she was an elected member of the NSW Branch Committee of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia. The Pharmacy Guild is the national peak body representing community pharmacy in Australia.

Mrs. Spiro supports numerous charities, including the McGrath Foundation, The National Breast Cancer Foundation, The Leukaemia Foundation Australia, as well as Rotary and the Lions Club. The major fund raising organisation she supports is Wizo, a non-party international movement dedicated to the welfare of the citizens of Israel. She has been the Honorary Treasurer of Wizo NSW for the past 15 years and the Honorary Treasurer of Wizo Australia for the past 4 years. Her efforts have earned her the prestigious Rebecca Sieff Award and an Honorary Life Membership to the organisation.

In recognition of all her achievements, Ms. Spiro was recently inducted into Worldwide Branding.
