MOUNT LAWLEY, AUSTRALIA, July 25, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jenny McCloskey, Sexual Health Physician of Royal Perth Hospital, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.
Dr. McCloskey has 29 years of experience in the industry, with 19 years in her current role. Her area of expertise is in research and treatment of the human papillomavirus in the genital tract. Her responsibilities are researching and treating HPV, including screening for anal cancer with high resolution anoscopy, as well as diagnosing and treating a variety of sexual conditions including vaginal discharges and vulvodynia. She is skilled in the use of the CO2 laser to treat genital warts and intraepithelial neoplasia. She attributes her success to her hard work. She became involved in her profession because she realized she had a knack for the industry. In years to come, Ms. McCloskey intends to be doing more of the same; she hopes to gain recognition for her research.
Dr. McCloskey received a Master of Public Health, and is close to completing her Ph.D., both from the University of Western Australia. She has a Diploma of Venereology (London) and is an elected Fellow of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine. She is a member of the Australian Medical Association, ASHM and an elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London) having achieved recognition for her work in establishing the Sexual Health Service at RPH. She shared the Australian Medical Association Prize in Public Health. She is involved in clinical research, education and teaching, as well as seeing patients. She practices in Perth as a sexual health physician working in both the public and private sectors. She is an associated clinical professor within the School of Pharmacology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of WA.
Dr. McCloskey supports the Australian Conservation Foundation, Greenpeace, the Australian Bush Heritage Association, the Wilderness Society and International Fund for Animal Welfare. Her hobbies include skiing and Qigong.
