Ms. Saayman has 17 years of professional experience, having recently become a partner of Deloitte Australia. Throughout her career, she has established herself as an expert in finance, accounting, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards on Auditing (ISA), quality and peer reviews, and ethics. On a daily basis, she is responsible for working with individuals that have privately-held wealth, and providing advisory services, primarily in the health care, steel, engineering, insurance and mining industries.
Ms. Saayman is separated from her peers by her technical skills and passion for everything that she undertakes. Additionally, her strong technical background proves useful in providing guidance to clients on accounting and regulatory matters that may affect them. In delivering assurance services to a number of listed entities, she has twice been subject to quality review by her regulatory body. In both instances, her review was performed successfully without any areas for potential improvement being identified.

Ms. Saayman is passionate about her industry, colleagues and clients. Her experience spans over a number of industries, and after recently migrating to Australia, one of her goals is to enhance her networking relationships with like-minded professionals. Ms. Saayman achieved fourth place in the Final Qualifying Examination, Part II. She has expertise in listed, unlisted and privately owned entities over a range of industries. Before joining Deloitte, she had her own consulting firm.
Looking back, Ms. Saayman attributes her success to having good people skills. She takes an interest in each of her clients and has a reputation for producing high-quality results. She became involved in her profession through a natural progression of events. She considers the highlights of her career thus far to be her achieving fourth-place status in the Final Qualifying Examination and becoming a partner at a relatively young age.
Ms. Saayman received a Master of Commerce in International Accounting from Rand Afrikaans University in 2004, having also earned a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of South Africa, where she graduated with honors in 1996. In addition to her degrees, she is a Chartered Accountant in South Africa and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants. Currently she is also an affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia, and in the process of completing further studies to become a full member thereof. In years to come, Ms. Saayman aims for continued growth within her chosen field of expertise.
