Lena Lofstrom is a professional genealogist, historian, jurist, and writer with more than 40 years of experience as a manager at various companies in the public sector as well as an owner within information retrieval, IT management, project management, law and computer science. She is a professional genealogist whose research specialties include: 18th through 20th century Emigration & Immigration, Historical Sites, Holocaust, Lineage Societies, Lutherans, Medieval, Migration, Heir Searcher, Naturalization, Scottish Clans, Court Records and Scandinavian American in New England, the Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West, Australia, the British Isles, Denmark, England, Scotland, Sweden and Scandinavia. In 1975, Ms. Lofstrom established GenWiz Professional Network to provide genealogy and general research services after initially studying law and then taking some time to assist her husband in his scientific research.
Bilingual in Spanish and English, Ms. Loftstrom is a former lecturer in system science, computing law, organization and IT at Stockholm University and Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. She is available for lectures/seminars, and as an archivist, historian, author/writer, project manager, and reunion planner. A member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, Association for Computer-Aided Geneaology, Swedish Federation for Genealogy, and American Professional Genealogists' Association, she holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Computer Science and Genealogy from the Genealogy University of Stockholm, earned in 1992. Lena Lofstrom is also the former chairwoman of the Swedish Genealogical Society and president of The Arvid Lundbeck Foundation for Genealogy. She also leads and manages a team that is working to further develop Sundbybergs Museum's digitalized archive.
