Dolly Ling Honored for Outstanding Work in Financial Management

For the last four years, Ms. Ling has headed the finance department, leading a team of finance professionals in ensuring the company's ongoing global success. It is her responsibility to oversee the financial operations of the Singapore office, as well as overseas subsidiaries and representative offices in the Asia-Pacific region. In executing these duties, she has showcased proficiency for cash and credit management, which includes cash flow planning and AR collections. Ms. Ling is also well versed in transfer pricing management, budget planning and forecasting. Ms. Ling ensures timely and accurate month-end closings for all entities she is responsible for, levering expertise for audit, tax and corporate secretarial support throughout her region.

Ms. Ling initially joined the company as a financial controller, but she later took over the human resource functions. She was promoted to vice president of finance, HR and administration in January 2012, with the existing human resource department and a new administration under her portfolio, in addition to her finance role. Although the human resource function was officially removed from her portfolio in June 2013, after an organization restructuring exercise, she was still actively involved in human resource matters until July 2014 when a Regional HR manager was hired. A great resource for those under her charge, Ms. Ling advises young professionals to continue to learn and stay abreast of the latest information, in order to progress steadily toward a successful career. In fact, in the years to come, she hopes to see herself become more well-rounded, gaining greater exposure to new areas in senior management, and increasing her knowledge and networking base.

Ms. Ling holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. He former academic education includes ACCA, AAT, LCCI, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, and advanced diploma in business administration.
