Alan Kuenhold Elected Vice President of the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts

    TUCSON, AZ, September 05, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Alan Kuenhold has been elected Vice President of the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts (www.aapta.com), an organization considered by many as the most prestigious of the technical analysis societies. Technical analysts attempt to identify trends in securities markets by observing price movement on charts for making investment decisions.

Early in his career the stock market was locked in a 16 year sideways trading range as the Dow Jones Industrials attempted to pierce through the 1000 level. During this time period Alan observed that the Technical Analysis Department of his firm was doing reasonably well adjusting to market swings while their Fundamental Research Department was having considerable difficulty. This led him to conclude that using only fundamental analysis to position client assets may not always be the best approach.

Alan spent the next 25 years with PaineWebber combining both fundamental and technical analysis to manage client portfolios. Alan continued to expand his knowledge by attaining the Series 86/87 license for Registered Research Analyst in the Area of Technical Analysis.
