ATLANTA, GA, September 16, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Very few independent authors are ever noticed due to the lack of publicity they muster for their books, nothing like the publicity the high priced marketing machines of the major publishing houses can bring to bear. Some do break through though and the first book from R Kane -- Runner (Amazon ASIN B00MARJTVW, Kindle EBook, 351 pp, $2.99) is one that should make a decent splash on the book market.
In a smooth yet streamlined style, R. Kane delivers a fast paced novel that literally pulls the readers alongside the main character Charlie Walker. From the start the reader is slowly drawn into the story of a boy and his special power before being consumed in the plot of his kidnapping by a nefarious secret group and then lost in the adventure of his escape, unable to put the book down or stop reading from it. The plight that Charlie must endure and overcome as he eludes his captors is riveting.
This book excels for many reasons, but the most significant one are the characters. From the shy and unimposing Charlie Walker to the good natured Dr. Peters who befriends the lonely boy, the intricate characters take over. Like any great book the story can sometimes become the backdrop for the characters and that's the case with R Kane's Runner. A reader might have to actually decide, is it the story or the characters that makes this book so good.
R.Kane lives in the state of Georgia where he was born with his family. He enjoys the occasional fishing trip for bass and throwing the ball with his Golden Retriever.
