The first Global EXEC Women Luminary Award for outstanding international contributions by a female executive went to Lani Wong, Chair, National Association of Chinese-Americans.
Awardees and categories are: Nina Huang, Vice President, Microsoft - China and Nancy Parmer, Vice President, UPS - U.S., Large Business; Sophia Wang, Vice President, Beyondsoft - China and Virginia L. P'an, Chairman and CEO, China Pacific Partners LLC - U.S., Medium Business; Guoqin Zhang, President, Wonderful Foods Co., Ltd. - China and Jing Connie Li, Ph.D., Co-founder and CEO, TrafficCast International, Inc. - U.S., Emerging Business; and Jian Gao, Vice Director, National Development and Reform Commission, Academic. Finalists and semi-finalists were also named in each category.
Judges were Vicki Hamilton, Senior V.P., Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and Cindy Nelson, Director, The Home Depot, who chairs the company's executive women's initiative. The elite of global business attended the invitation-only conference, chaired by Sarah Bajc, Director, R&D, Microsoft - China. Joan Lyman, Lyman Management Group, delivered the keynote.
