DENVER, CO, September 24, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Magnetic #1, a twelve panel, self-contained apocalyptic themed comic book page, has been produced with a new, innovative, cutting edge process where the images and text are laser burned into maple panels. Magnetic is conceived by creator/writer Timothy Mather from Chicago, IL, illustrated by Daniel Crosier in Denver, CO, and published/laser-burned by Karvt, of Ft. Collins, CO.
Magnetic #1 features Mather's words and tells a dynamic, end-of-the-world story in a constrained format. The layout created the opportunity for Crosier to produce the art with this creative approach guaranteed to peak the interest of both comic book and art collectors alike.
Crosier approached Karvt with the idea to create the comic book page with this new technology on wood, completely bucking industry trends of going digital. He comments on the marriage between story and technique by stating, "Nothing smells better than the apocalypse burned into maple."
Mather is currently developing Magnetic as a webcomic series, to accompany the wood-burned product offering in Magnetic #1. Crosier and Karvt are collaborating on future laser-burned comics as well.
Magnetic #1 is available for sale at http://mkt.com/daniel-crosier/magnetic-pager, and retails for $50.00.
