Mr. Gilbert has 33 years of professional experience, with 12 years as a vice president of Kroeschell, Inc. Over the years, he has established himself as an expert in the fields of energy management and central utility plants. In the course of his duties, he is responsible for building systems and creating and designing innovative engineering solutions.
Looking over his career as a whole, Mr. Gilbert attributes his success to having good communication with clients, as well as listening to them and solving their problems. He became involved in his profession when he was making his college choices; he wanted to go into electrical engineering, but was intrigued by the energy conservation choices that were going on and pursued a different path.
Mr. Gilbert received a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Lake County Contractors Association, and in 1998, he received an Excellence in Engineering Award from the Illinois Chapter of ASHRAE.
