Judy and her Belle Roche team have pledged to raise funds to help BFP in their efforts.
ENCINITAS, CA, October 17, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Belle Roche Estate Jewelry & Collectibles owner, Judy Scheuer, has taken on the cause of helping free beagles from product research laboratories.
"Ninety-six percent of dogs used for testing in labs are beagles," says Scheuer. "Beagles are the most popular breed for lab use because of their friendly, docile and trusting nature. I have a rescue beagle of my own. Although Huckleberry was not a lab rescue, I just cannot imagine him being forced to breathe toxic fumes for example, during oven cleaner product testing. It's horrific and I am looking to raise awareness of this barbaric practice."
In addition to raising awareness, the Beagle Freedom Project's (BFP) mission is to rescue beagles from animal experimentation in research laboratories and to give the dogs a chance at life in a loving home. The cost to rescue just one beagle is $1000. Judy and her Belle Roche team have pledged to raise funds to help BFP in their efforts. On October 24th and 25th , they are holding a special sales event in which Belle Roche will donate a percentage of the proceeds to BFP for beagle rescues.
Belle Roche Estate Jewelry & Collectibles purchases personal and household items for resale from folks who are downsizing. The buying end of the business has been brisk, so now they are overstocked with silver, gold and diamond jewelry, fine porcelain figurines by Royal Copenhagen, Lladro and Hummel figurines, Bossons chalkware, fine china, Baccarat, Lalique & Waterford crystal and many other estate items.
"Our entire inventory will be on sale during our event October 24 & 25," says Scheuer. "I thought this would be a good opportunity to raise money to help rescue laboratory beagles."
The first 20 customers to make a purchase of $100 or more during the sale will receive a signed copy of a local author's book. Richochet, Riding a Wave of Hope, by Judy Fridono, was released in July and became an instant best seller. Ricochet, a golden retriever, surfs local waters with Wounded Warriers, autistic and paralyzed children and other disabled persons. The books being given away are signed not only by the author and several of Ricochet's surf partners featured in the book, but also "pawtographed" by Ricochet herself. Shop early to secure your copy!

Judy Scheuer, owner of Belle Roche Estate Jewelry, has been in the jewelry business for over 25 years. A native San Diegan, she got her start in an estate jewelry buying shop in 1987 as an assistant to the owner. She has worked in various aspects of the jewelry business ever since, as manager of several estate jewelry retail stores and a wholesale diamond company. Through the years her favorite job was buying from the public, and her goal was to open her own business doing this. She did so in 2006, establishing Belle Roche Estate Jewelry Buyers, a business that caters to the "selling public". The business has since expanded into a retail location in Encinitas, CA, where the shop is stocked with items purchased from estates and private individuals.
