SPOKANE, WA, October 11, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "'As women we are bound together by our strengths and our weaknesses. In many ways we share common characteristics and desires which tend to make us think basically alike. We all want to be financially secure. We want to be appreciated. We are the caretakers of our families and friends. We are the seekers of truth and spiritual enlightenment. For those of us who have lived long enough, we are the teachers of our ways," says Petersen. "These and other commonalities bind us together. We can learn from each other, help each other and we can celebrate each other's successes. Together we can make a difference in our lives and the lives of others. Together we can be the catalyst for change in our world."
WISE, STRONG WOMEN is a book of inspiration, and encouragement for women of all ages. As women, we're all basically alike; we want the same things for our families and ourselves. Sometimes just a few words can help us look at things a little differently and change the course of our life.
"My inspiration comes from all the 'wise, strong women' who I have had the privilege of knowing," shares Petersen. "... Women like me who have given all for their families and friends and sometimes just need a little encouragement."
"This is a remarkable book, covering so many areas. You'll turn the page again and again to have yet another nugget of truth revealed--a true treasure," says Stacy Baker, the acquisitions editor for the book.
Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.
Petersen has always loved to write. As a teenager she wrote poetry, sent editorials to newspapers expressing her opinions on current events and was always more comfortable putting her thoughts on paper. For ten years she worked for a weekly paper and wrote articles on local events and businesses. She enjoyed interviewing people and finding out exactly what they loved about their business and helping them convey it to the public. Donna has a son, Jeramiah and two granddaughters, Katie and Christina.
