Local Author Signed to Publish New Book Detailing Horrifying Personal Attack

Tate Publishing is proud to announce the signing of local author Florence Morton and her soon-to-be-published book based on her own horrifying experience being attacked.

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 11, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "When I thought about the vicious attack I survived, and realized my life hung on nothing short of a miracle, I became very thankful to God for bringing me through such an ordeal," said Morton. "This story remained on my mind everyday, leaving me compelled to tell of the wonders and greatness of God."

Her book delves into the life a pregnant woman who survives an attack by ex-convict, Harry, who was released from prison and turns into a serial offender. Her survival is miraculous; and the power of God is demonstrated through signs and wonders becoming a refuge in time of storm.

"I began writing this book of my own experience in 1974," shared Morton. "In 1992, I received a subpoena to testify in the penalty phase trial held in Sacramento, California. While I met with the Assistant District Attorney and Investigator during dinnertime, the Assistant D.A. spoke saying 'someone should write about this story.' After the trial was over, I received court transcripts on other victims testimony, enabling me to add their story to mine."

"It is simply amazing that in spite of this horror, the author has the spirit and heart to teach the reader that God still is in control and will walk through the valley with you, no matter what evil exists in this world. This book is a true faith builder!" said Stacy Baker, Director of Book Acquisitions.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Writing was in the heart of Florence Morton from an early age. She never saw a role model to inspire her in the field of writing. All she knew is that the colorful imagination of words would come to her mind and she wrote them on paper in the form of poems. She can look at a picture scene or a view out the window and instantly began writing a story, or poem about what she sees. Eventually, she became the writer of the family and her siblings encouraged her to keep up the work. In her spare time she enjoys attending family reunions, playing piano and listening to music.
