David S. Kestenbaum was recently elected to the executive committee of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, where he has served as the chair of the criminal law section for the past three years.

Mr. Kestenbaum has more than 35 years of experience in the legal field, including several years as an attorney and owner of the Kestenbaum Law Group. His areas of expertise include negotiating plea bargains and settling cases. Kestenbaum Law Group is a boutique firm that provides many criminal defense services. Prior to forming Kestenbaum Law Group, Mr. Kestenbaum worked as a prosecutor for the city of Los Angeles in the Van Nuys courthouse.
Having won acquittals in his most recent jury trials, Mr. Kestenbaum attributes his success to having good working relationships with prosecutors and judges. He became involved in his profession because he was inspired by the television character Perry Mason to become an attorney.
Mr. Kestenbaum received a Juris Doctor degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliations with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Board of Governors for California Attorneys for Criminal Justice. He was also recently elected to the executive committee of the San Fernando Valley Bar Association, where he has served as the chair of the criminal law section for the past three years. Outside of work, his interests include traveling and watching baseball. In the years to come, Mr. Kestenbaum may start teaching law, as well as continue helping people through his legal work.
