How a Simple Hobby Grew into Something Bigger
I do not know if I could call this a business, since it started with great love and passion towards creativity and work. It was something I enjoyed in and did for friends and family. At the time it started, it was simply a hobby, something I did in my free time. However, recommendations of people who wore garments I made brought more people, more customers. So there was a need to expand. They say that best things are born from love and passion, and the work I do proves this statement. I decided to create working and hunting garments for everyone, including those people who can hardly buy garments in stores because they do not have their sizes. Every year proved to be a challenge for me because there was a need for expansion if I wanted to have satisfied customers. And the need for expansion has come to this point where my work in free time becomes a real business. I have realized that expansion has turned my hobby into something completely different. Our business grew big over the years, if we take into account the fact that we started practically from scratch. We started producing garments with 125EUR of capital, 30 meters of fabric and two borrowed machines. Over the years, people have recognized the uniqueness of our work and most important of all, the quality of our products. Quality is what distinguishes us from others, especially in this industrial era where the mass production has put the needs of the customers in the background . We can proudly say that our business continued operating despite of the challenges we face every day. Also, we continually worked on improving our work, choosing the best patterns, good quality materials and being creative. The result of this are satisfied customers who spread the word about this handicraftsmanship that makes custom made garment.

What is the Plan for the Future ?
When we started this business, we were eager to put our ideas into reality and that is exactly what is happening now. The ideas are becoming the reality. However, not everything depends upon our ideas and great work. In the recession-struck world it is hard to find funds for making something bigger and better at this level. Funders who decide to pledge will help us build a place which will become a home for our business. Since I produce custom-made garment, it is extremely hard to make a good profit out of its sale. I produce small number of pieces, and I do not have a mass production. Because of this I am unable to open a real business. I do not have funds sufficient for building a place for my business and engaging into real production.

Today, we have more machines, more fabric and more customers which requires more space for work. The place we are currently working at is borrowed and years ago has stopped being satisfying. We are practically working in a basement which has become a narrow space for us. The place where we keep pur patterns and fabrics is an improvization of a stockroom where our fabrics are protected with nylon. In fact, the entire place where we work is an improvization. Finding credits and loans in Bosnia is very hard from our own experience and this is why we decided to choose this option.

All the circumstances surrounding me, made me decide to turn my hobby into something bigger and better. Good comments of my customers give me enough support to open a business. People who buy my products advised me to open a business. I have spent years preparing to open a real business and I have realized that I have talent, creativity, patterns, customers, fabrics and power of will, but not the funds which are essential for opening a business.
