With 41 years of practiced expertise in law, Mr. Wickliff has achieved professional success through his specialty in labor and employment litigation. He manages the firm's Houston labor and employment group, while assisting clients with trials, appeals and administrative proceedings. Mr. Wickliff developed an interest in law through his father, who was a civil rights attorney and general practitioner for more than 50 years. During the first years of his career, Mr. Wickliff and his father tried 10 cases together.
Mr. Wickliff is passionate about assisting other attorneys in the labor and employment department of the firm, and is well-equipped for the task. He received a JD from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in 1973 and a Master of Law with a concentration in labor from New York University School of Law in 1974. Recently inducted into Worldwide Registry, Mr. Wickliff also maintains affiliation with the American Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, the National Bar Association and the Houston chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Most notably, Mr. Wickliff has been honored as an AV Preeminent Attorney through the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings throughout most of his career, and also served as the president of the Houston Lawyers Association. He has been named a Top 100 Lawyer in Texas and Houston by Super Lawyers, as well as one of the Best Lawyers in America from 2010 to 2014.
