She has experience in bookselling on a national and international level and is the fourth-generation owner of the bookshop, which has been in her family for 126 years. Ms. Steinberger studied in Hamburg, Germany, and then worked with her aunt for more than eight years before taking over the management of the shop. Currently, she is one of the best in her field, winning the award for the Best Literary Bookshop of Flanders in 2000 and an award from IBF for being included on the list of the Top 50 Unique Book Shops in the World.

Prior to becoming a bookselling professional, Ms. Steinberger received a bachelor's degree in management and law and literature. She is a member of the Flemish Booksellers Association and the European and International Booksellers Federation (EIBF), of which she was president for seven years. In the coming years, Ms. Steinberger plans to continue on the same path and improve book trade services.
