Sharon L. DeVault Contributes to Law Community as Attorney, Lecturer and Author

CHICAGO, IL, October 30, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sharon L. DeVault, a Member of Williams & Baerson, LLC and Of Counsel Attorney for SmithAmundsen, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.
Drawing on more than 24 years of experience in the field of law, Ms. DeVault focuses her practice on estate and tax planning for high net worth clients. She is also knowledgeable in estate and trust administration as well as charitable planning.
Ms. DeVault's initial passion for law came from her desire to help others. She received a JD with honors from the Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1990 and a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, from The University of Chicago in 1984. She was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Chicago Bar Association and the Chicago Estate Planning Council. She was named an Illinois Super Lawyer in 2011 and 2012, and has received the AV Pre-Eminent Rating from the Martindale-Hubbell peer review.
Prior to joining Williams & Baerson, Ms. DeVault spent almost two years as a partner with K&L Gates LLP. She also has more than 12 years of experience as counsel at Mayer Brown LLP. Following an extensive career working with large law firms, Ms. DeVault finds enjoyment in serving as an attorney with a smaller practice where everyone functions as a team. In the coming years, she plans to continue progressing in her field while providing impeccable assistance to her clients. When Ms. DeVault isn't working, she enjoys running marathons and reading.
Ms. DeVault has contributed to the Trust Administration practice handbook by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education as a co-author of the Investments chapter for more than 20 years. She is a frequent lecturer for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and the Chicago Bar Association.
