Mr. Castor has nearly 30 years of experience in the law. His areas of expertise include general litigation and practice, specifically personal injury, internal corporate investigations, and white collar criminal defense. In addition to his role at ROGERS CASTOR, Mr. Castor is currently serving his second term as Montgomery County Commissioner in the Philadelphia area. Prior to serving in his elected role and becoming a partner with his law firm, he served two elected terms as District Attorney of Montgomery County, as first assistant district attorney, deputy district attorney and assistant district attorney, working in the sex and major crimes units over a period of 23 years. Mr. Castor retired for law enforcement as president of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association.
In looking back, Mr. Castor became involved in his profession because of his fascination with law and in law enforcement leading him to a career prosecuting criminals. Throughout the years, he has been honored with several awards, including the Pennsylvania Police Hall of Fame, the Outstanding Police Performance Award from the Citizens' Crime Commission of the Delaware Valley, the Trial Advocacy Award Association of Government Attorneys in Capital Litigation for Outstanding Investigation and Prosecution of Homicide Cases, Pennsylvania Super Lawyer (eight times), American Top 100 Trial Lawyer (twice), among many others.
Mr. Castor received a Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee University School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in government and law from Lafayette College. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and maintains affiliations with the Pennsylvania Homicide Investigators Association, the National District Attorneys Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Montgomery Bar Association and the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association.
