Cannon Dr.) vendors are making it possible for you to enjoy a local, sustainable Thanksgiving. Pre-orders are being accepted at various vendors for pickup prior to Thanksgiving. Whether you are craving sustainable turkey, delicious side dishes, breads or desserts, local farmers and businesses have something to help make your Thanksgiving table sparkle. Invited out for the holidays? Don't forget to bring your host a copy of Green City Market's new cookbook ($24.95). It is certainly a gift they will cherish for holidays to come. Crumb Bread and Co-op Sauce at Green City Market are offering pre-orders for Thanksgiving. Add some spice to your menu with their Co-op Hot Sauce Oaxaca chilhuacle ( $6.99); Crumb boules: cranberry chestnut ($7), chili cheddar ($6), or sunflower spelt ($7); Jalapeno cheddar cornbread ($7); and delicious Bundt cakes: pumpkin and chocolate with ginger glaze ($20) or persimmon pudding with cream cheese frosting ($12). Prices are as follows: Under 16 lb. $6.00 per pound
16-20 lb. $5.50 per pound
20 lb.and up $5.00 per pound

Mint Creek Farm
Treat your family to one of Mint Creek's delicious pasture raised turkeys this Thanksgiving. No matter how large or small your festivities, they have a gobbler to fit the bill, with sizes from 6-24 lbs! Try their new heritage bronze turkeys, or stick with the traditional white turkey, an old favorite. These whole birds are available for pickup at Green City Market, November 22 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

TJ's Free Range Poultry
Turkeys have the run of fenced pastures at Timothy and Julie Ifft's Central Illinois farm. The couple's fine feathered friends are fed an all-natural diet of corn and soybean meal, with no hormones or animal by-products.

Tuscan Hen Lorraine Orbon is offering pre-order for the holidays! Their fresh pastas include Pumpkin Fettuccine, Whole Wheat Fettuccine, Collard Greens Fettuccine, Garlic & Thyme Pappardelle and Tajarin.

Tajarin is the egg-yolk-rich pasta from the Piedmont region of Italy. Their golden color comes from the farmhouse egg yolks, which are almost orange in color. Tajarin pasta is served simply, usually with butter and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Orders may be picked up at Green City Market November 22.
