Thanksgiving at Maxwell's At The Club

Traditional Thanksgiving Buffet a Feast for the Senses



    CHICAGO, IL, November 12, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maxwell's At The Club (in the East Bank Club at 500 N. Kingsbury; 312-527-5800 ext. 301) is offering one of Chicago's most spectacular traditional Thanksgiving Buffets, and it's open to the public--Maxwell's is always open to the public, and it's one of River North's hidden treasures for lunch or dinner. The Thanksgiving Buffet is served from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 27. Adults are $45 per person; children age 10 and under are $15 per person.

One of many things Maxwell's does exceptionally well is prepare extravagant and beautifully displayed buffets, and the annual Thanksgiving Buffet is deservedly one of its most popular. Bountiful amounts of fresh, delicious and healthfully prepared foods are the hallmark of Maxwell's and this year the tradition continues. Guests can choose from the many vegetarian dishes as well as gluten-free choices.

Maxwell's Thanksgiving buffet feast begins with a multitude of Appetizer and Salad selections. Appetizers include Chilled Shrimp with Cocktail Sauce and Lemon, and Roasted and Poached Salmon with Mustard Sauce. The numerous salads on display include Caesar Salad with Garlic Croutons; Mesclun Salad with Granny Smith apples, spicy walnuts and raisins, and apple cider vinaigrette; Chopped Salad with Mustard Vinaigrette, Romaine, head lettuce, radicchio, carrots, peppers, cucumbers, tomato, garbanzo beans and Kalamata olives; Kale Salad with Roasted Beets and Goat Cheese; Wild Rice Salad with Raisons and Almonds; Roasted Cauliflower Salad with Capers, and Dijon Vinaigrette; Shrimp and Edamame Salad; and Roasted Vegetable Salad with carrots, zucchini, yellow squash, Brussels sprouts, red peppers, onions and garlic; Caprese Salad; Roasted and Red Quinoa Salad; Green Cabbage, Apple and Brussels Sprout Salad; and Cranberry Sauce and Cranberry Relish.

The Carving Station offers guests two perfectly prepared options: Roast Turkey with Turkey Gravy and Natural Jus; and Roast Prime Rib of Beef Au Jus with Horseradish Sauce.

Additional entrees and sides include Roasted Fresh Seafood; Pasta with House Made Italian Sausage prepared with Chicken, Prosciutto, Sage and Asiago; Cornbread Stuffing; Sauteed Brussels Sprouts; Butternut Squash with Kale and Dried Cranberries; Sauteed Green Beans with Wild Mushrooms; Roasted Cauliflower, Carrots, Garlic and Onion; Roasted Sweet Potatoes; and Mashed Red Skin Potatoes.

The Bread Basket is Maxwell's intoxicating display of Corn, Blueberry, Flaxseed and Cranberry Muffins, Assorted Dinner Rolls and Maxwell's Bread.

The Dessert table is just as exciting, featuring Pumpkin Pie, Southern Pecan Bars, Raspberry and Cranberry Streusel Bars, Assorted Cookies and Seasonal Fruits and Berries.
