FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, November 14, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The 55th Fort Lauderdale Boat Show was another resounding success for yacht broker Northrop & Johnson, continuing their run of strong results for 2014.
As the largest exhibitor with 19 spectacular superyachts on display, the Northrop & Johnson team received numerous offers and the acceptance of sale on iconic sailing yacht Felicita West, with CEO Kevin Merrigan representing both buyer and seller.

DREAM (179 ft) is a combination of her owners' desired characteristics and Bannenberg & Rowell's signature style. Her new interior is contemporary chic, exuding a Zen-like decor, and she is available for charter in the Caribbean this winter.
Northrop & Johnson believes in giving back, and were thrilled to again host the Kids In Distress yacht hop and charity event, where over 200 guests helped raise money for Kids In Distress (KID), a Fort Lauderdale-based charity dedicated to the prevention of child abuse, the preservation of family and the treatment of children who have suffered neglect and abuse. The event raised an astonishing $150 000 in donations, taking the total raised over the three years of the event to $500 000, again showing the willingness of the yachting industry to improve the lives of others.
N&J also hosted a glittering evening onboard M/Y CENTINELA IV with their friends and sponsors, One Sotheby's, The Marina At Christophe Harbour, Champagne Jacquart and Casillero del Diablo.
Yachts are nothing without their crews to deliver outstanding service; in recognition of their hard work and professionalism Northrop & Johnson threw a crew party, a brilliant night full of great food, drinks and entertainment.
FLIBS also saw the exciting launch of the N&J magazine Navigator, the quintessential guide to an inclusive, opulent travel lifestyle. Devoted to a readership that relishes luxury living and a sophisticated, adventurous spirit, Navigator is a biannual guide to the apex of lavish travel, yachting, art, entertainment, luxury goods and more.
It was another spectacular show, with strong sales leads and a spirit of optimism giving a positive outlook for the year ahead. As the Caribbean season gets underway, Northrop & Johnson would like to wish everyone across the yachting industry a happy and successful winter.
