FORT COLLINS, CO, November 15, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Good Day Pharmacy Chief Operations Officer, Vicki Einhellig, and Good Day Pharmacy Manager, Jenifer Panek, met and hosted a pharmacy tour with Rep. Jared Polis at the Good Day Pharmacy Spring Creek Medical Park location, 2001 S. Shields Street in Fort Collins. Representative Polis is a democrat and member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Colorado's 2nd congressional district, serving since 2009. Representative Polis was extremely knowledgeable about specific pharmacy topics affecting the constituents in his district and the pharmacy industry, in general. The meeting resulted in positive recognition of local independent pharmacies and their commitment to medication safety, as well as being recognized providers of innovative pharmacy services such as vaccination, health education, and disease state management. Also discussed during the visit was the consistent ranking of pharmacists among the most trusted professionals, and among the most approachable and accessible in healthcare.
One key purpose of the visit was to solidify legislative support of H.R. 4190, which is bipartisan legislation that will amend the Social Security Act to recognize pharmacists as providers under Medicare Part B. The legislation will improve access to pharmacist services by allowing recipients to utilize pharmacists to their full capability and providing underserved beneficiaries with needed services.
Good Day Pharmacy is an independent, family-owned company with nine pharmacies in Northern Colorado, and employs 135 Colorado residents.
