Colin P. O'Dware, Esquire has been appointed to the Virginia Board of Corrections, a nine-member, policy-making Board appointed by the Governor of Virginia. The Boards mission is enhance public safety by controlling and supervising sentenced offenders in a humane, cost-efficient manner, consistent with sound correctional principles and constitutional standards (Code Section 53.1-2).

Colin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Tech in 2003, and his Juris Doctor from George Mason School of Law in 2006. Colin practiced as a trial lawyer for five years at the Office of the Public Defender for the City of Norfolk. Colin is a member of both The Virginia State Bar and The North Carolina State Bar. He is also admitted and qualified to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Colin is also an active member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA). He has a very active personal injury, admiralty, and criminal defense trial practice.
